About UPO

Formerly known as the HKUSTSU Wind Ensemble founded in 1993, Ensemble has merged with the String Team to form the Orchestra in 2005. UPO has expanded its scale and outreach by hosting orientation activities, concerts, joint university performances, and many more functions.

In the past, we have been invited to perform in various functions, such as the Outreach Day in HKUST, independent clubs' orientation camps, banquets, inauguration ceremonies, the Music Gallery in CUHK and the anniversary of the Medical Association.

Our main goal is to nourish a team of musicians with a great passion for music. We hope to move our audiences with that very passion, for when words fail, music speaks.
